Much to our surprise, Micah Zachary Schmidt couldn't wait any longer and entered the world on Monday, August 28th! He was about four weeks early, which is probably why he's a little guy - weighing 5 lbs 12 oz and measuring 18 inches. But thankfully, thus far, he's healthy and doing well. Sarah is currently recovering at the hospital right now, and Micah is also recovering from his entry into the world.

We have been overwhelmed and are so grateful for the support of family and friends here at the hospital and over the phone. We also have a wonderful hospital staff, which is very comforting. Right now, we are feeling overjoyed and blessed by how things have all worked out...and above all, by our new, beautiful son. He'd love to meet all of you very soon! :)
